The set of *Spider-Man: Brand New Day* is attracting all kinds of legends.

Action movie icon Jackie Chan has revealed that he recently dropped by the set of the upcoming Spider-Man flick with his Jackie Chan Stunt Team, which is working on the film alongside Marvel franchise star Tom Holland.

"I went to London and visited the set," Chan said in a recent interview with Hong Kong publication *HK01*. "My Jackie Chan Stunt Team was busy filming Spider-Man, and I was the action director for the Jackie Chan Stunt Team."

Chan also recalled filmmaker Destin Daniel Cretton's sweet reaction to his presence. "I went to watch their rehearsals, and the director was so excited when he saw me," he said. "I made sure he understood that they are part of my team."

It's no surprise that Cretton felt a little starstruck meeting Chan, a martial artist hero with a resume that speaks for itself. The Jackie Chan Stunt Team also has an acclaimed place in action film history, as its stuntmen and martial artists have frequently worked with Chan — their previous projects include *Project A*, *Police Story*, *Drunken Master II*, *Thunderbolt,* and more. Having any of Chan's trainees around will ensure that *Brand New Day* stands out in the MCU franchise.

When does 'Spider-Man: Brand New Day' come out? All about Tom Holland's return (and which Marvel characters are joining him)

Combined with Cretton's proven action expertise with Marvel's *Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings*, Holland being seasoned with stunt work, and the inclusion of characters such as Jon Bernthal as Frank Castle/The Punisher, Mark Ruffalo as Bruce Banner/The Hulk, and Michael Mando as the Scorpion, it's safe to say *Brand New Day *is shaping up to be a heavy hitter.

Production on *Brand New Day* began Aug. 1, with shooting kicking off in Glasgow, Scotland, before moving to Pinewood Studios in England for soundstage work.

*Brand New Day* marks Holland's seventh film as Peter Parker since he debuted as the character in 2016's *Captain America: Civil War*. In addition to appearing in the two-part *Infinity Saga* finale — 2018's *Avengers: Infinity War* and 2019's *Avengers: Endgame* — he starred in three solo Spider-Man movies: 2017's *Homecoming*, 2019's *Far From Home*, and 2021's *No Way Home*.

When we last saw Spider-Man, he had saved the multiverse by allowing the entire world — including his girlfriend, MJ (Zendaya), and his BFF, Ned Leeds (Jacob Batalon) — to forget the existence of his true identity. The final scenes of *No Way Home *featured Peter returning to his comic book roots as a street-level hero, working solo without the aid of fancy gadgets left by his mentor, Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.), or other help from his high-powered allies the Avengers. Because of his memory reset, he will be back to superhero basics in *Brand New Day*.
