*The Challenge: Vets and New Threats* has been one of the franchise's most exciting flagship seasons in recent years, and the drama is only just getting started.

** has the exclusive season 41 midseason trailer, which reveals a brand-new twist in the game that is going to spice things up. It also teases even *more* fighting among the fan-favorite vets.

At the beginning of the footage, host TJ Lavin promises that there will be no "carnival games" in the back half of the season as the remaining players battle it out for the $425,000 prize. "This is real s---," he warns them all, as if the producers have been going easy on them with the exhausting, intense challenges we've seen already.

After the final selection in this week's episode, the players think they're locked in with their current partners for the rest of the season, but TJ reveals a new twist in the trailer: they can "stake a claim" on someone else's partner.

We don't yet know the details of what this means, but it's clear that the teams aren't as locked in as they seem. In the footage, Olivia tries to convince Jake to utilize the new twist to counteract a mole in an opposing alliance.

But the real drama, of course, comes from the veterans who just can't seem to get along — which is great news for us viewers. Nany is going to lose it on multiple people, as the footage reveals a screaming match between her and Aneesa where they have to be physically pulled apart from each other. Nany can also be seen screaming at Michaela, "This isn't *Survivor*, this is not *Big Brother*, this is *The Challenge*, honey!"

And Turbo isn't content to make two new enemies this season after getting into it with CT and Derek — the trailer reveals he's also going to pick a fight with Theo in the elimination ring, with Theo taunting him right back. Now that's a matchup we need to see play out in the sand.
